Clarence W. Blake


BETHESDA — Clarence W. Blake, 65, of Belmont, died Friday at Cleveland Clinic.

He was born March 23, 1935, in New Athens, a son of the late Lawrence and Esther Wade Blake.

Clarence retired from R & F Coal Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a Methodist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Blake; two sisters, Darlene Blake and June Dosson.

He leaves Shirley Phillips Conley of the home; two sons, Larry Blake of Bethesda and Clarence Jr. of Manchester, Md.; a daughter, Tammy Siragusano of St. Clairsville; two stepsons, Darryl Conley of Dayton and Isaac Conley of Belmont; 10 grandchildren; eight sisters, Jean Balent of Norton, Georgia West, Melba McCombs, Dorothy Gatten and Linda Stubbs, all of Belmont, Carolyn Kanzig of Perrysville, Barbara McKeen of Cadiz and Janet Van Fossen of Flushing; two brothers, James Blake and Dale Blake, both of Belmont.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home in Bethesda, where services will be 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Virginia Geiger officiating.

Burial will be in Belmont Cemetery.
