Rev. Karl Milton Fitch


BETHESDA — The Rev. Karl Milton Fitch, 78, of Bethesda, died Tuesday (Oct. 31, 2000) at Crestview Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.

He was born Nov. 24, 1921, in Bellaire, son of the late Robert and Faye (Shallcross) Fitch.

Rev. Fitch was a retired Methodist minister, having served United Methodist churches in Morristown, Bannock and Lloydsville for many years.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II, and a member of the St. Clairsville American Legion Post 159.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Fitch, and a brother, Glen Fitch.

He leaves his wife of 58 years, Iona (Cummins) Fitch; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Jane) Turvey of East Richland and Mrs. Gary (Mary Ann) Silverio of Bellaire; a son, Paul (Sherry) of Bethesda; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; two brothers, Robert Dale Fitch of Florida and Ralph Fitch of Texas; a sister, Phyllis Kigerl of Bellaire.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Morristown United Methodist Church, with Pastors Vicky Kelley, Rick Burkhardt and Kevin Rinkes officiating. Burial will be in Davis Cemetery, Bellaire.
