Bessie H. Giffen
Mrs. Besse H. Giffen, 88, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 1975, at the Star Nursing Home, Morristown, where she had been residing. She was born May 18, 1887, a daughter of the late Walton and Ella McClure Howell.
She was a member of the King Avenue United Methodist Church of Columbus.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, in 1936, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen Phillips of Columbus; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home, Bethesda, tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Greenwood officiating. Burial in Union Cemetery, Flushing.
