Virgie "Mae" (Wheeler) King


BETHESDA — Virgie “Mae” (Wheeler) King, 93, of Bethesda, died Tuesday at Barnesville Health Care Center.

She was born July 27, 1907, in New Castle, daughter of the late Dairl and Blanche (Simeral) Wheeler.

Mrs. King was a homemaker and a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church. She retired from Barnesville Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil King.

She leaves a daughter, Helen Phillips of Bethesda; a son, Francis “Dale” (Barbara) King of Willis, Texas; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Flora Hagan of Jerusalem; her twin brother, Ray Wheeler of Gambier.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, where services will be 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Rick Burkhardt officiating.

Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
