Leonard Leasure


SUMMERFIELD — Leonard C. Leasure, 76, of Summerfield, died Tuesday at his home.

He was born Nov. 30, 1924, in Barnesville, son of the late William and Anna Marie (Brown) Leasure.

Mr. Leasure was a retired laborer. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in World War II and the Korean War.

He was a Methodist by faith. He was a member of American Legion Post 415, Summerfield, and VFW Post 4721, Caldwell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva M. (Hayes) Leasure, on Aug. 3, 1982; two sons, Kim and Greg Leasure; three brothers, Carl, Earl and Kenneth Leasure; two sisters, Betty and Geneva Leasure.

He leaves three daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Robin) Jordon of Dayton, Mrs. Kenneth (Melinda) Hoyt of Graysville and Bev Leasure of Lewisville; two sons, Gary (Cathy) Leasure of Summerfield and Calvin (Melissa) Leasure of Sparr, Fla.; three sisters, Ruth Ann Leasure of Caldwell, and Dorothy Shafer and Lucille Long, both of Sarahsville; three brothers, Dick Leasure of Senecaville, and Eugene Leasure and Raymond Leasure, both of Caldwell; 23 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Brubach-Watters Funeral Home, Summerfield.

Military graveside services will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Summerfield, at a later date.
