John Medley
John W. Medley, 79, Flushing, died Thursday in East Ohio Regional Hospital at Martins Ferry. He was born Dec. 14, 1912 in Flushing; son of' the late Ross and Nannie Murphy Medley.
He was a retired farmer and former of the Flushing Township Road Crew and a member of' the Flushing Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth A. Stidd Medley; a son, Carl W. Medley of Lincoln, Neb.; a daughter; Juanita Sipes of Wellington; a sister, Dorothy Nicholson of Orlando, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Warren Funeral Home, Flushing, Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. , where services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., with the Rev Samuel Batten officiating. Burial follows in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
