Leroy Albert Murphy


L. A. Murphy Dies At Cherry St. Home

Leroy Albert Murphy, resident of 113 Cherry Street, Barnesville died early Tuesday morning; February, 9th.

He was born near Flushing, on March 12, 1888, a son of William and Oella Fawcett Murphy. On November 23, 1910 he was married to Eva McWilliams. Mr. Murphy was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Stillwater.

Surviving are his widow of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Robert McClelland, Barnesville, and one son, Stanley Murphy of Orlando, Florida; three grandchildren; one brother, Fred Murphy of Dover; one sister, Mrs. Ross Medley of St. Clairsville, RD. One son, James Curtis Murphy, preceded him in death March 9, 1945.

Friends are being received at the Campbell Funeral Home on North Chestnut Street where final rites will be held this afternoon, (Thursday) at 1:30. The Rev. Roy Hilliard of the First Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be made in Hope Cemetery, Hendrysburg.
