Pearl McGrew


BETHESDA — Pearl Agnes Malyerck McGrew, 78, of Bethesda, died Wednesday (Nov. 1, 2000) at Crestview Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.

She was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Duncanwood, daughter of the late John and Mary (Shaner) Pastva.

Mrs. McGrew was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Malyerck; her second husband, Jim McGrew; three brothers, Ellis, James and Milan Pastva; a step-brother, George Kulp; and a sister, Mary Palumbo.

She leaves three daughters, Mary Owens, Janie Emory and Bonnie Anderson, all of Bethesda; two brothers, Tom Pastva of Ravenna and Norman Pastva of Bethesda; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, where services will be 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Edward Emory will officiate.

Burial will be in Unity Cemetery, New Athens.
