Ross J. Medley
Ross J. Medley, (John Ross, known as Ross) 81, RD 1, St.Clairsville, died Monday afternoon at Barnesville Hospital. He was born in Union Township, Dec. 30, 1890, a son of the late John and Dorothy Belle Ralston Medley.
He was a Presbyterian by faith and a retired employee of Richland Township.
Surviving are his widow, Nannie Murphy Medley; one son, John W. Medley of Flushing; one daughter, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Nicholson of Orlando, Florida; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl of St.Clairsville and Howard of Barnesville; four sisters, Mrs. John (Selma) Nichols of Zanesville, Mrs. Mary Brokaw of Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Harold (Eunice) Dodd of Xenia, Ohio and Mrs. George (Margaret) Ray of Cadiz. A son and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends received at the Beck Funeral Chapel, St.Clairsville, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. with Rev. John Williams officiating. Burial in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
