Delbert Querry


BETHESDA — Delbert Querry, 69, of Belmont, died Saturday (April 14, 2001) at Forrest Hills Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.

He was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Craigsville, W.Va., son of the late Jess and Dorothy (Hartley) Querry.

Mr. Querry retired from the former Saginaw Mine of St. Clairsville, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a member of Lafferty Moose and St. Clairsville VFW Post 5356. He was a Baptist by faith.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Doby and Terry Querry; and a sister, Darlela Long.

He leaves his wife, Arlene Hamrick; five daughters, Elaine Billetter of Missouri, Drema Bontempo of Warwood, W.Va., and Sheila Turney, Patricia Piper and Jennifer Perkins, all of Belmont; eight grandchildren, Sharon, Heather, John, Eddy, Jamie, David, Camie and Abbigale; five great-grandchildren, Demetre, Logan, Deoveon, Alexis and Natasha; three sisters, Eura Olsen, Barb Martin and Caroline Lutz, all of Ashland.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, where services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Morristown. Military graveside services will be conducted by Belmont County Council VFW.
