George E. Tolbert


BETHESDA -- George E. Tolbert, 80, of Barnesville, died Thursday morning, Oct. 9, 1986, at Barnesville Hospital. Born May 1, 1906, at Bethesda, he was a son of Clarence and Bertha Pittman Tolbert. Mr. Tolbert was a retired carpenter and a member of First Christian Church of Barnesville, Elks and Moose lodges of Barnesville and Bethesda VFW. Surviving are his wife, Ellen Kemp Tolbert; one son, Fred Tolbert of St. Clairsville; one daughter, Roxanne Kennedy of St. Clairsville; two brothers, Clinton of Barnesville and Harry of Crown Point, Ind.; and one sister Mary Louise Cross of Flushing, Mich.

Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home in Bethesda, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. William Worchester officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda. Moose services will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
