Kenneth E. Winters


BARNESVILLE — Kenneth E. Winters, 67, of Barnesville, died Friday (Nov. 24, 2000) at his winter home in Port Richey, Fla.

He was born april 13, 1933, in Fairview, son of the late Erwin and Nellie (Smith) Winters.

Mr. Winters retired from Alltel Phone Co., where he served as a engineering supervisor.

He was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church, Kirkwood Masonic Lodge 446, Scottish Rite of Cambridge and the Western Square Dancers Club.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Signal Corp.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert.

He leaves his wife, Betty VanScyoc; two sons, Gary of Hendrysburg and Chris of Altoona, Pa.; a daughter, Barbara Winters of Lexington, Ky.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers, Craig of Quaker City, Earl of Florida, Derbert and Paul, both of Akron.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Kelly-Kemp-Braido funeral Home, Barnesville, where services will be 11 a.m. Thursday. Kirkwood Lodge will have Masonic services at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Hendrysburg.
