William Earl Wharton


BETHESDA — William Earl Wharton, 59, of Belmont, died Wednesday (Dec. 27, 2000) at his home.

He was born Nov. 4, 1941, in Bethesda, son of the late Merle and Thelma (McKinley) Wharton.

Mr. Wharton was a grader operator for the Belmont County Engineering Department.

He was a member and elder of Bend Fork Christian Church, Belmont.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Timmy Dwayne Wharton.

He leaves his wife, Grace (Perkins) Wharton; two sons, Robert ( Julie) Wharton of Belmont and Stephen Wharton of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Forrest (Deanna) Kemp of Belmont; a brother, John Wharton of Barnesville; a sister, Glenna Heskett of Zanesville.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Kelly-Kemp-Braido Funeral Home, Bethesda, where services will be 2 p.m. Sunday with Brothers Joe Coma, Bud Burke and Norman Clampitt officiating.

Burial will be in Bend Fork Cemetery, Belmont.
